Death is rarely honourable. To protect others, death is foolish; to save the world, selfish. To be remembered, well. It's certainly one I long for. Obsessive with his poem, passionate almost to a fault, deceivingly corrupt, and ashamed of himself though damned if he would ever truly admit it, Genesis had transformed from a dramatic SOLDIER striving to be the best, to nothing more than a monster set out to do just what monsters do – destroy. He claims to have lost his dreams and his pride, the black wing on his shoulder a physical reminder of what he believes to be. However, his destructive and antagonizing nature aside, Genesis claims to be searching for the “Gift of the Goddess”, an unknown gift that was never revealed in Loveless as the story has no ending. Existence. However you look at it, meaningless or not, worthwhile or useless, existence without purpose means naught to those who exist. To monsters like us? At the very least, it gives us an excuse for blowing shit up. |
